The City of Lights

Whenever I think of Paris I think of all the amazing sights there including the Eiffel Tower. Paris is the capital and most populated city in France. It is said to be one of the most beautiful cities on earth with the view of elegant and historical buildings. Many call this city The City of Lights which is a great name for when its lite up at night. I would love to see the Eiffel Tower especially, but there are so many things I didn't know about Paris until now.

The Notre Dame Cathedral which is French for "Our Lady of Paris" is another fantastic building that is a big tourist attraction in Paris. It is considered to be one of best examples of French Gothic architecture and one of the largest and well known church buildings in the world. This building is both elegant and historical in so many ways that I can see why it is so well known around the world.

The Eiffel Tower seems to be known by many people and has become a global cultural icon of France. It is one of the most recognizable structures in the world as well as most visited. 7.1 million people ascended the Eiffel Tower in 2011 and received it's 250 millionth visitor in 2010. It is the tallest structure in Paris at 1,063 feet tall. The Eiffel Tower is the main reason why I would love to visit Paris. I would also love to see the city its self and the way people interact there.

At night the city lights up entirely creating a beautiful view. Since the city is so big there are more lights making Paris come to life when it gets dark. We can see why it is called the city of lights just like big cities here in the United States including New York. These cities are different is many ways yet they are similar too. The lights and the big number of people who go or live there are quite similar.

There are so many things to see and experience in Paris and I hope that one day I'll be able to go there. I would love to see the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral as well as so many other things. Like other European countries the architecture in Paris seems to be more elegant and detailed. Maybe one day I'll get to see why so many people want to be there.
